Request confirm if you are in a position and interested to supply undermentioned Tower Crane to Bangladesh. On confirmation we shall transmit the detailed spec. for your comments/nec actions.

1.Name of the Equipment. Tower Crane ( Dock Crane)

2. Purpose. The tower crane is intended to replace one existing rail travelling portal mounted slewing and luffing jib crane operating on the port tower of a Floating Dock. Tower deck is at a height of 8.0 m from the pontoon deck of the Floating Dock.

3.General Description. The general description and principal particulars of the existing crane is given at Annex A and the General Arrangement drawing of the existing crane is given at Annex B to this specification. The proposed crane must be a suitable replacement of the existing one in respect of size, shape, weight ,construction, operation, standard and classification.

4. Quantity. 01( one) in number.

5. Brand/ model. To be Mentioned.

6. Manufacture. Name and full Address to be mentioned.

7. Year of Manufacture. 2006 or later.

8. Country of Origin. USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Norway, Switzerland and EU countries.

9. Manufacturing country. USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Norway, Switzerland and EU countries.

10. Qualification of Bidders. Only the genuine manufacturers or their authorized dealer (principal) can submit quotations through their authorized agent in Bangladesh. In case of dealer (principal) Manufacturers certificate of authorization has to be submitted with the offer.

11.Ambient condition. The crane should be able to run comfortably in the temperate and humid tropical environment of Bangladesh. It will be subjected to occasional cyclonic storm. Climatic conditions will be as follows:

a. Temperature 050C – 450C

b. Relative Humidity Up to 98%

c. Wind Up to 250 km/ hr gusty wind during monsoon

d. Location Close to the sea shore.

12.Power Supply. 415V± 5%, 50 Hz., 3 phase.

13. Scope of Supply. One in number tower crane, as per the description of the following paragraphs (paragraph 14 to 30), is to be supplied complete with all standard accessories and attachments,

being ready for operation . Detailed list of equipment, fittings, materials, essential tools , spare parts , documents, certificates and services, which are included in the scope of supply of the crane , should be provided with the quotation.

14. Design and Record of sales. The tower crane and all other items to be supplied should be new construction, latest model and up-to- date design. Record of sales of the quoted model of the tower crane, indicating year and buyers name, is to be included with the quotation.

15. Technical specification.

a. Capacity, Radius, Range, Height, etc

(1) Lifting capacity 3 tonnes at 4.5 - 11 m radius

(2) Operating radius( min) 4.5 m.

(3) Operating radius(max) 11 m.

(4) Range of lift above the rail 14 m.

(5) Range of lift below the rail 8 m .

(6) Center to center of track rail 3 m.

b. Operational Speeds

(1) Lifting speed of 3 tonnes load( manual speed change) ... 1, 10 and 20 m/ min.

(2) Level luffing speed ... ... ... ... 10 m/ min.

(3) Slewing speed ... ... ... ... ... 2.5 rpm.

(4) Travelling speed of crane ... ... ... ... 30 m/min.

c. Weight of the crane

(1) Theoretical weight with ballast : To be specified ( Existing 29.000 kg).

(2) Theoretical weight without ballast : To be specified ( Existing 16.000 kg).

d. Control position . The crane is to be controlled from the drivers cabin on the slewing

superstructure .

Power requirement . Total electrical power requirement is to be mentioned in detail in the
quotation.

Classification Standard. The crane and its components and accessories must be
designed , constructed, tested and inspected as per the rules of any internationally recognized

classification society. Class approval certificate in this regard is to be provided with the

quotation. The supplier must clearly mention the name of the classification society. The

standard must include the following:

Welding Code.
Design and construction code.
Electrical equipment code.
Classification of insulation of electrical motors and cables.
Classification grouping.
Stability standard.
Standard of mechanical parts.
Standard of control equipment.
Accident prevention and safety stands.
g. Mechanical Parts. Detail description of the mechanical parts is to be provided with the quotation, which must include the following.

Hoisting gear
Luffing gear.
Slewing gear.
Travelling gear.
Ropes. And so on
